D&C 23:1

That the fullness of my gospel may be proclaimed ...before kings and rulers.

Our group at the EU Commission
This weekend we held our annual training seminar for the National Public Affairs Directors from each of the 27 countries in the Europe Area.  We met in Brussels Belgium.  The event included a visit to the European Union Commission where we were hosted by the commission advisor on Religious Affairs.  For 2 days the PA full-time staff trained on how to reach out and develop relationships with government and community opinion leaders.  We also were treated to a Brussels bus tour and a fun dinner in the old part of town Saturday evening. Of course we chose a Belgium waffle for desert.  It was good but I think they could double sales with a little maple syrup. My birthday was Saturday and this one will be memorable for location and for being sung to by the largest group of friends ever and from 27 different countries.  The seminar will also be a highlight of our mission as we were finally able to meet and get to know these wonderful people we have been conversing with by email for 8 months now. We have a greater appreciation too for the challenges they face in bringing the church out of obscurity in their countries.
We felt like real bureaucrats

  2. We're having waffles as the old dinner group in the Jensen St. George vacation mansion, watching hot air balloons, playing golf, tennis and of course checking out the local 5 star restaurants. Missing you both! We left the mints on your pillow in the cellar suite. Keep up the good work and travel! Will send you pics!
