A FETZER IN GERMANY

This week we helped with final preparations for the annual Europe Area public affairs director seminar, to be held this year in Brussels Belgium starting next Friday.  Martin gets to give a ½ hour presentation on planning, budgeting, reporting and evaluating local public affairs activities.  We also worked on preparing Country Fact Sheets . These one-page summaries  describe the Church’s size, activity and history within each country and are to be used in meetings with government officials and media people.  On Saturday we went with the Elder and Sister Eyre and Taylor Street to Wurzberg.  There we were hosted by Tony Fetzer, an information technology student who we originally met in Rothenburg where he lives when not in school.

He was gracious to give us a tour of the city’s cathedrals, Residence Palace and Fortress.  He also got us reservations for great pizza at noon.  He is an intelligent and upright young man with plenty of strong opinions that he shared freely, so we are absolutely sure we are related.
